Our central location makes us the perfect place to not only relax, but also explore
Oaktree-Lane really is the best of both worlds – a blissfully peaceful countryside location that’s centrally located so that you can enjoy everything that Devon and Cornwall has to offer! The only thing you need to decide is where you’ll head first and how you’ll fit it all in!
Dartmoor National Park
The town of Bude has it all; some great beaches, plenty of shops if you’ve forgotten something, restaurants and bars to enjoy a cool drink or something to eat…. there’s even the option to learn how to surf if you’ve always wanted to!
Just around the corner from Bude is Widemouth Bay – which actually comes with not only one but two beaches as both are connected, when the tide is out, with another beach known as ‘black rock’ due to the large… you guessed it… black rock jutting from the sea! This is a great place to pack up and enjoy a day at the beach. It’s particularly popular with local surfers due to the decent swells that come rolling in.
If you’re headed into Cornwall for a day out, it’s more than likely you’re going to take the road that passes through and over the Duchy’s very own moorland, Bodmin! So why not stop on the way there or on the way back – peaceful, perfect for social distancing and to get a few miles into those legs!
Enjoy a day trip
If you’re looking for a great day out, then there are a range of things for you to do, ranging from minutes away to a little further afield. Dingle Fairground Museum is the closest visitor attraction to us (just 4 miles by car), whilst arguably the most well-known, the Eden Project, can be reached in 50 minutes.
Staying on site
It's your holiday, so relax as much as you want to!
Don’t fancy getting in the car until you leave? That’s absolutely not a problem when you stay at Oaktree-Lane. Each of our accommodation types are designed to give you both privacy and space; lounge in the sun, read a book, listen to the birds… it’s a pretty idyllic place we’ve got! If you want to head out of the main gate for a stroll in the country, the village of Bratton Clovelly is a good place to head towards, with a local pub that’ll fill you with delicious food .
