Widemouth Bay

25 Miles

Just around the corner from Bude is Widemouth Bay – which actually comes with not only one but two beaches as both are connected, when the tide is out, with another beach known as ‘black rock’ due to the large… you guessed it… black rock jutting from the sea! This is a great place to pack up and enjoy a day at the beach. It’s particularly popular with local surfers due to the decent swells that come rolling in.

Bodmin Moor

23 Miles

If you’re headed into Cornwall for a day out, it’s more than likely you’re going to take the road that passes through and over the Duchy’s very own moorland, Bodmin! So why not stop on the way there or on the way back – peaceful, perfect for social distancing and to get a few miles into those legs!
