The Open Day, which will run from 10.00am – 4.00pm, will include a variety of local exhibitors and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Have a go at a range of activities including, kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing, sailing, paddleboarding, water zorbing, high ropes, archery and fishing taster sessions. Face painting will also be available as well as giant games, a bouncy castle, soft play, nature crafts, family fun with Entertainingly Different and much more!
South West Water will be running tours of the dam and there will also be the opportunity to meet some of Screech Owl Sanctuary’s beautiful owls and some of Hendra Farm’s resident critters!
Tours of the dam, which are free of charge, will be taking place at:

Please note: For tours of the dam there is a minimum age restriction of 12 years and visitors need to be fit and well due to the 170 steps to be climbed. Shoes with a good grip are also recommended – fashion shoes, sandals and ‘open’ shoes are not suitable.
Entry to the event will be £5 per car with 50% going towards the Roadford play area project. There will also be small charges for some activities.
