My partner and I along with our 7 month old daughter visited the gorgeous Oak tree lane from 5th-7th July.
The lockdown was lifted and we searched for a break away for my partners birthday weekend. With the situation with COVID so uncertain still and not knowing what to expect Philip and Sera couldn’t have put us more at ease with their welcome email explaining exactly how the process would work for checking in and our stay. We felt reassured and excited for our stay straight away. Unfortunately we had to arrive a day late for our holiday and the booking was easy to amend.
When we arrived both Philip and Sera could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Instantly we felt so pleased we had booked our stay here. We were shown a lovely private bathroom and kitchen both had all we needed to be comfortable for our stay. We then were shown to our stunning yurt, it was spacious with a comfy bed, wardrobe, mirror and log burner .
We were warmly encouraged to roam around the farm to say ‘Hello’ to the sheep and chickens from a safe distance!!
We highly recommend opting for a breakfast pack, the bacon and eggs were delish. We also bought some Hogget for the bbq which was also so tasty.
Whilst we were at Oak tree lane, we visited Roadford lake (walking distance), Strawberry picking at Strawberry fields farm shop at Lifton (15mins by car) & Lydford gorge (20mins by car) – You need to book this at the moment as limited numbers of people can arrive at the same time also is a shorter walk due to social distancing.
We will be returning here for sure and will be bringing our friends for the ride, what more could you want than to sit in a beautiful part of the world around the campfire with just the farm animals as neighbours!!
